With eyes wide shut, Nicole Kidman shared an intimate dinner with the son of Libyan leader Colonel Muammar Gaddafi.
As the hours ticked by, Al Saadi Gaddafi, 31, spared no expense as he wined and dined the Oscar-winning actress, 37, with a meal to die for on the top floor of Sydney's InterContinental Hotel.
This was not a Moulin Rouge night as they discussed investments in the Australian film industry.
Gaddafi, according to press reports, had originally planned to hire the hotel's state suite for $15,000 and fill it with fresh flowers and candles, but opted for the 31st floor lounge instead.
Gaddafi, captain of Libya's soccer team, arrived with them in Sydney last month for a 12-day sport and trade visit.
He also met Australian Foreign Affairs Minister Alexander Downer and Trade Minister Mark Vaile.
