Beirut: The Arab press has been speculating on the life and death of Lebanese singer Suzan Tamim, who was found murdered in her Dubai home on Monday.
BBC Arabic reported that she was last seen on Sunday night when some friends dropped her off at her apartment.
According to The Daily Star, Tamim had a troubled relationship with her father. And her last song was called "Lovers," recorded in 2006, dedicated to the memory of assasinated Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik Hariri.
Al Hayat has published rumours that she was living with an Egyptian man in the same apartment in Dubai.
Beirut-online reported that staff from Britain's Arabic-language newspaper Elaph visited the family home of the singer located in Aisha Bakkar, but some relatives refused to let them enter. Mahmoud Tamim, a close family member and husband of Syrian actress Sabah Jazaeri was there and kept journalists at bay saying that Suzan's parents were in a state of shock and did not want to speak to the press.
Elaph also speculates that the murder suspect is an Iraqi man who Suzan ran off with.
