Tripolie: Clashes between rival Christian factions in north Lebanon left at least two people dead and three others wounded, security sources said on Wednesday.
The fighting broke out hours after Lebanese leaders held talks to discuss differences and ease sectarian violence.
Supporters of the pro-Syrian Marada party and the anti-Syrian Lebanese Forces group clashed in a village in Kora, the sources said, but could not provide details.
One supporter of each group died in the exchanges, the sources said, while three people were wounded.
Lebanese security forces deployed in the area and conducted contacts with officials from both sides to contain the situation, the sources said.
