A rights group in Jordan on Thursday blamed recent prison riots on "bad treatment" of prisoners.
Amman: A rights group in Jordan on Thursday blamed recent prison riots on "bad treatment" of prisoners.
Riots broke out at two Jordanian jails on Monday and Tuesday, killing three inmates and wounding more than 100 others.
The National Centre for Human Rights (NCHR) said they found out during interviews with prisoners that inmates "were severely beaten by police members".
NCHR, in its report, called it a "big setback and a strong violation of the prisoners' dignity".
