Baghdad: Former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussain has ended his hunger strike because of "health reasons".
"The president maintained his hunger strike for 11 days but was forced to end it for health reasons," Saddam?s lawyer Khalil Dulaimi said.
Saddam announced the hunger strike on February 14 as he arrived in court telling chief judge Raouf Abdul Rahman "For three days we have been holding a hunger strike protesting against your way in treating us - against you and your masters."
