At least seventy-seven people died in bomb attacks throughout Iraq on Saturday as a wave of violence swept Iraq following the execution of deposed Iraqi leader Saddam Hussain.
Just hours after Saddam was hanged, a car bomb ripped through a market killing 33 in the Shiite village of Kufa, Southern Iraq. At least 45 people were left wounded.
A triple bombing devastated a Baghdad neighbourhood and another bomb blew up outside a children's hospital.
It remains unclear of the attacks were masterminded by Saddam extremists to avenge his death.
