Two Iranian students injured in shooting

Two Iranian students were wounded when bandits opened fire on their bus in oil-rich Khuzestan province as they toured sites from the war with Iraq, the Mehr news agency reported on Friday.

Tehran: Two Iranian students were wounded when bandits opened fire on their bus in oil-rich Khuzestan province as they toured sites from the war with Iraq, the Mehr news agency reported on Friday.

The pair, who were on a state-organised trip, were taken to hospital after the shooting on Thursday evening, local official Mohammad Taghi Khademi was quoted as saying.

The area was locked down and a number of people arrested, said Khademi.
