Iran urges fairness as IAEA prepares to release report

Tehran: Iran said that it expects the UN nuclear watchdog not to be influenced by the United States as it prepares to release its latest report on the country's nuclear program.
Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman Hasan Qashqavi said in comments Monday that Iran expects the IAEA to base its actions on a legal framework and not be influenced by US "pressures."
The International Atomic Energy Agency is due to release the report on Iran's nuclear program on Monday following several rounds of talks with Iran last month.
The United States and some of its allies accuse Iran of seeking to build a nuclear weapon. But Iran, already under three sets of UN sanctions over its refusal to suspend its nuclear program, denies the claim.
