Iran's highest authority said on Wednesday the Islamic Republic would continue on its nuclear path, speaking shortly before a deadline Western officials set for Tehran to respond to an incentives offer by world powers.

Tehran: Iran's highest authority said on Wednesday the Islamic Republic would continue on its nuclear path, speaking shortly before a deadline Western officials set for Tehran to respond to an incentives offer by world powers.
"The Iranian nation ... will continue with its path," Ayatollah Ali Khameni was quoted as saying by state radio when discussing the nuclear issue.
