Tehran: Iran's chief nuclear negotiator Saeed Jalili on Monday discussed with European Union foreign policy chief Javier Solana Iran's disputed nuclear programme.
The discussion came two days after Iran missed a deadline to respond to an incentives offer by Western powers to defuse the nuclear row.
Solana is representing the six powers behind the package of nuclear incentives offer, which aims to persuade Iran to stop nuclear work.
An EU official gave no details of whether Iran had accepted or rejected the major powers' conditions for entering formal nuclear negotiations.
