Tehran: Five men accused of raping, stabbing and burning a woman were hanged in Iran, a government daily said on Monday.
The men aged 19 to 24 were executed in a prison in Qom on Sunday, the newspaper said.
One of the men said they kidnapped the woman after she stepped out of a bus last August, molested her and stabbed her.
They then doused her with gasoline in order to make her remains unidentifiable, the man was quoted as saying.
The woman was killed a week before she was due to be married.
