Iran attacks 'American' French
Iran's official media on Monday accused France of being more hard line than Americans after the French foreign minister warned of a possible war against Iran.
Tehran: Iran's official media on Monday accused France of being more hard line than Americans after the French foreign minister warned of a possible war against Iran.
"The new occupants of the Elysee want to copy the White House," the state-run Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) news agency wrote in an editorial, referring to the French presidential palace.
IRNA said that since French President Nicolas Sarkozy promoted closer ties with the United States, "he has taken on an American skin".
Irna also accused France of adopting policies towards Iran that are "more illogical than that of Washington."
The comments came after French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner said the world should brace for a possible war over a nuclear-armed Iran.
