An earthquake shook a southwestern Iranian province on Tuesday, the official Irna news agency reported.

The 5.3 magnitude earthquake struck near the town of Farrashband in Fars province, where several large gas fields are located.
There were no immediate reports of damage or casualties, Irna said.
