Hamas officials cross into Egypt for talks on Israeli truce
An Egyptian security official says that a delegation of Hamas and Islamic Jihad officials have crossed the border for talks over a possible truce with Israel and re-opening the Rafah border crossing.
El Arish: An Egyptian security official says that a delegation of Hamas and Islamic Jihad officials have crossed the border for talks over a possible truce with Israel and re-opening the Rafah border crossing.
The meeting involves Egyptian national security officials and is taking place inside the Rafah crossing terminal on Saturday, added the official.
The two parties are discussing Egypt's mediation between Hamas and Israel and arrangements to open Rafah terminal and release of 50 Hamas and other Palestinian militants in Egyptian prisons.
