The Algerian army killed 12 rebels in an overnight ambush in the mountainous region of Kabylie, the main base of Al Qaida's north African wing, state news agency APS reported on Friday.
Algiers: The Algerian army killed 12 rebels in an overnight ambush in the mountainous region of Kabylie, the main base of Al Qaida's north African wing, state news agency APS reported on Friday.
"A group of 12 terrorists were eliminated in the night ... by the combined armed forces of the National Popular Army," APS cited the Interior Ministry as saying in a statement.
