Khalifa, Mohammad tour projects in Western Region

Shaikh Khalifa expressed his admiration of the Qasr Al Sarab Desert Resort

Abu Dhabi: President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, on Saturday toured development, urban and tourism projects in the Western Region.

Shaikh Khalifa and Shaikh Mohammad, accompanied by General Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, visited Qasr Al Sarab Desert Resort and toured its various facilities.

Impressed by the original Arab architecture of the palace, Shaikh Khalifa expressed his admiration of the resort which reflects the spirit of the true Arab heritage and architecture.

He expressed confidence that the Qasr Al Sarab resort would constitute a unique addition to tourism and development projects in the region as part of the comprehensive development experienced by the UAE in the best interests of Emirati citizens.

Concluding his tour, Shaikh Khalifa wished that the projects would contribute to the tourism activity in the region and help develop the Western Region economically, culturally and socially.

Banquet

Later, a launch banquet was held in honour of Shaikh Khalifa and his entourage at the Al Sarab Palace.

Shaikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, The Ruler's Representative in the Western Region, Shaikh Tahnoun Bin Mohammad Al Nahyan, Representative of the Ruler in the Eastern Region, Shaikh Hazza Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Adviser, Lt. General Shaikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister, other Shaikhs and senior officials, were also present.
