Kuwait: The Yemeni peace talks being held in Kuwait between the Yemeni government and rebels resumed on Saturday.
The three committees formed on Thursday will also meet to discuss five main topics and issues.
The Yemeni government delegation told UN envoy Esmail Ould Shaikh Ahmad that the ceasefire agreement guarantees allow its forces to react to any breach, an official source said.
Commenting on this, the UN envoy has vowed to document all breaches committed by putschists and the ousted Ali Abdullah Saleh’s forces in his report to the UN council next week.
Briefing Al Watan newspaper, An official source said, “Abdul Malek Al Mekhlafi, Yemeni Minister of Interior and head of the delegation, asked the UN envoy to identify the negotiations’ obstructionist party and Shaikh Ahmad, in return, pledged to report the complete truth focusing on the breaches that stand in the way of a peaceful solution.”
Earlier, Shaikh Ahmad met the Houthi delegation and warned them against the military escalation and breaches, saying that the continuation of breaches will be considered attempts to bring the negotiations to a halt, the official added.
