Sanaa: Rescue crews have recovered some bodies from the wreck of a Yemenia airlines aircraft that crashed in the waters off the Comoros archipelago on Tuesday.

The official said he "cannot say if there are survivors" among the 153 people who were on board the 310-300 Airbus.

Bodies were seen floating on the surface of the water and a fuel slick was also spotted about 16 or 17 nautical miles from Moroni," senior civil aviation official Mohammad Abdul Kader told reporters.
