Sanaa: Yemen on Monday detained six key suspects in last week's bombing of a US embassy in the country, the Interior Ministry said in a statement.
"Security services succeeded in arresting six people, some of whom belong to Islamic Jihad, linked to Al Qaida and which claimed the attack," the Interior Ministry said.
The ministry said that one of those held is Abu Ghaith Al Yamani, who signed a statement claiming the attack.
At least 18 people were killed and many wounded in the September 17 attack on the US embassy in Yemen, which has stepped up security around foreign embassies.
