Aden: A suicide bomber drove his explosives-laden car into a checkpoint manned by rebels in northern Yemen on Friday, local officials and tribal sources said.
They could not immediately tell the number of the casualties but said there were deaths and wounded people in the attack, which took place in Jawf province.
Both Al Houthis and Al Qaida militants have a strong presence in the province some 140km northeast of the capital Sana’a. Yemen’s widespread disorder has posed a threat to oil exporting giant Saudi Arabia next door.
