At least 90 Al Houthi rebels have surrendered to the Yemeni army
Sana'a: The remaining rebels cornered into the north western part of Sa'ada are expected to surrender in the next few hours, according to Yemeni army spokesman Askar Zuel and Deputy Minister of Interior Mohammed Al Kawsi.
At least 90 Al Houthi rebels have surrendered to the Yemeni army as the Sa'ada sweep entered its fifth day on Saturday.
According to security and independent sources the remaining rebels have been blockaded into the north western part of the old city.
Thirty women accused of cooperating with the rebels were taken into government custody before being released to their relatives.
Before releasing the women, a male representative was to sign a pledge for each woman pledge she would not cooperate with Al Houthi rebels ever again and would remain under house arrest.
Meanwhile, Yemeni Foreign Minister Abu Bakr Al Querbi was to head to Kuwait later on Saturday to hand a letter to the Emir of Kuwait from Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh on the latest developments in Yemen.
Al Querbi said that he will use the upcoming GCC summit in Kuwait on Monday to clear up developments in Yemen that have been "exaggerated" in the media.
