Sanaa: Some 157 Yemeni children were deported from Saudi Arabia to Yemen after being smuggled into Saudi Arabia over the last three months, an official said.
"We are contacting the families of these children to come and take them home and protect them from the dangers of child trafficking," the official news agency Saba reported, quoted Hitham Al Jabari, Director of Social Affairs in Hajjah province.
Al Jabari said many children were smuggled out with the knowledge of their parents, who desperately need money.
Meanwhile, border guards in the last three months foiled attempts to smuggle about 50 children to Saudi Arabia.
