People planning sea travel advised to 'take precautions'
Al Ain: High waves have been raising in the Gulf of Oman, making it unsafe for small boats and fishing trawlers, according to the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) in a weather alert on Wednesday.
“Please take precautions,” the centre advised people planning sea travel.
Strong southerly winds have also been blowing over the sea, according to NCMS.
The comfort index has dropped considerably across the country over the past few days, with high humidity and the temperature shooting up to 48 degrees Celsius in parts of the country on Tuesday.
Weather forecasters have said that the hot and hazy weather is expected to continue in general during the daytime, but it could get partly cloudy over some eastern areas with some towering clouds by the afternoon.
