Dubai: The overcast sky and gusty winds will not last long and by next week it will start to turn warm across the UAE, say forecasters.

"The change towards summer has already started," said the Sharjah forecaster, who warns of high humidity in the nights. There is a danger of fog and mist early Sunday morning because of moisture in the atmosphere and the drop in night temperatures.

The overcast sky and gusty winds would not last long and by next week it will start to turn warm across the UAE, forecasters say.

"The change towards summer has already started," said the Sharjah forecaster, who warned of high humidity in the nights.

There was a danger of fog and mist early Sunday morning because of the moisture in the atmosphere and the drop in night temperatures.

Motorists were advised to drive carefully and not to switch on their hazard lights while driving in the fog so as not to confuse the drivers behind.

The weather is presently great for a picnic or swimming by the beach, but not for fishing as the waves will be more than six feet at some spots, the Abu Dhabai forecaster warned.

The sea warning would still be valid Saturday, the Sharjah met office said.

The waves would be seven feet near the thunderstorm areas because of the 64km/h (35 knots) winds.

The weather continued to be unsettled Friday with blowing winds raising dust and reducing visibility down to 1500 metres at some places.

It drizzled at places yesterday and there is chance of more rain and thunderstorms Saturday.

The unsettled weather over the UAE is due to a low depression, say the forecasters. Daytime humidity will be around 35 per cent, but becoming sticky at nights with more than 70 per cent humidity.
