Sharjah police arrest four for forging visas

Sharjah: Sharjah police have arrested four members of a gang that forged entry visas to the UAE.
The Asian gang members were found in possession of forged visas and equipment used in the process.
The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of Sharjah police earlier received a tip-off from a source about a group of people who forged entry visas and sold them.
After verifying the claims, a security team was set up to investigate the case.
The gang members all lived in an apartment in Sharjah, where they carried out their activities.
The team raided the apartment and arrested the gang. They also found 34 forged visas and the equipment in their possession.
The interrogation revealed all the gang members were residents of the UAE, who admitted to having practiced their criminal activities and selling forged visas at Dh4,000 to Dh5,000 each.
Lieutenant Colonel Yousuf Mousa Al Naqbi, Director of Sharjah police CID, said the department is constantly following the activities of such gangs to foil them.
The department is aware of the risks to national stability and security resulting from forging visas, especially because it might allow outlaws to enter the country and commit their crimes inside the UAE, he said.
Al Naqbi called on the public to cooperate with the police by reporting any such activities to help protect innocent people who become the victims of such gangs.
