Visitors who have valid visas to enter the country can enter the UAE through any of the entry points - land, air or sea.

  • Six international airports, 15 ports and entry points on the Saudi and Omani borders make it easy for visitors.

Dubai: Visitors who have valid visas to enter the country can enter the UAE through any of the entry points - land, air or sea.

Visitors can enter through Al Salaa boarder, which is on the Saudi border and is 400km from Abu Dhabi.

One can enter from Oman in Al Ain at Al Buraimi. The other land entry points are in Dubai at Hatta and at Shaam in Ras Al Khaimah.

If one chooses to fly to the UAE, he or she can use one of the country's six international airports no matter from which residence department his or her visa was issued.

One can enter the country at Abu Dhabi International Airport. The airport is located not far from the heart of the city and one can find transport at the airport that will take the visitor to any of the other emirates.

If the visitor lands at Abu Dhabi airport but plans to travel to Dubai or any of the northern emirates the distance is around 170km.

Visitors also can enter the UAE through Al Ain International Airport. It is located 13km north-west of Al Ain city.

The most popular airport in the UAE is Dubai International Airport which is located four kilometres to the south east of the heart of the city.

The Dubai International Airport has two terminals and is used by 100 airlines, which connect to over 140 destinations.

If one lands at Dubai and wants to head for Sharjah or any of the other northern emirates it is about 15km from Sharjah and other emirates.

The fourth airport is Sharjah International Airport, 10km to the south-east of the city.

If one wants to travel to Sharjah airport it will be easy to reach Sharjah city, Dubai, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah.

The fifth airport is in Ras Al Khaimah International Airport, which is located 18km to the south of Ras Al Khaimah city near Al Dighdagha village.

The Fujairah International Airport is located in the south of the emirate.

At the same time visitors can enter the country through one of the seaports at any of the emirates.

In Dubai one can enter via Port Rashid, where the cruise terminal is located.

Mina Zayed in Abu Dhabi, is one of the most important seaports in the UAE. In addition there are other seaports in Abu Dhabi such as the dhow harbour, Mussafah port, Umm Al Nar port and Ras Sadr port.

Sharjah ports include Mina Khalid port or Khor Fakkan port. Other ports are in Ajman, Umm Al Quwain and Ras Al Khaimah.
