Ras Al Khaimah: The Naturalisation and Residency Department announced on Friday the detention of 672 violators of UAE residency laws and 30 infiltrators in the first half of this year.

According to Colonel Sultan Yousuf Al Nuaimi, who heads the department, statistics show the number of violators from January 1 to May 31.

He added that the department's inspectors have undertaken many inspection campaigns which cover the emirate including remote areas, which the infiltrators and illegal residents believe to be an ideal shelter.
