Dubai: Entering the road without making sure it was clear claimed the lives of two people on Thursday evening on Dubai-Al Ain Road, a senior official said.
Two people were burnt to death in a collision between a pick-up carrying diesel and a car on Dubai-Al Ain Road.
Salah Bu Farousha, Head of the Traffic Public Prosecution, said the accident took place when a car driven by an Afghani man collided with a pick-up carrying diesel. The Afghani entered the road without making sure it was clear and hit the pick-up which was on its right lane.
The pick-up caught fire killing the Pakistani driver and his compatriot who was accompanying him.
Bu Farousha said the Afghani driver sustained moderate injuries and will be under police custody until he recovers and then will be prosecuted.
