Salik surprise causes pile-up on Al Maktoum Bridge

Dubai: Many motorists escaped injury in a pile-up on Al Maktoum Bridge on Sunday morning.
A motorist stopped in the middle of the bridge and other cars hit him from the back.
A witness said the motorist told police he was surprised to see the Salik toll gate and thought he would get a fine as he did not have a tag.
The gate will be operational from September 9.
