Dubai: Driving licence applicants may now book appointments for the theoretical knowledge test through the Roads and Transport Authority's (RTA) call centre. The theoretical tests were introduced earlier this year.
Speaking about the service, CEO of the RTA Licensing Agency Ahmad Behroozian, said: "The new Theoretical Test, which is a computer-based test run on a user-friendly touch screen, was introduced in January 2011 as a prerequisite for applicants of driving licences in Dubai emirate."
Scheduling
"Learner drivers can book a date for the knowledge test, or change an already-scheduled date, by contacting RTA's call centre on 8009090. The applicant just needs to provide the Call Centre agent with the learner's driving permit number in order to book a date or change an already booked date," Behroozian added.
"This step, which comes in the context of several other steps undertaken by the agency to deliver best-in-class customer services, is aligned with the agency's vision, "A safe driver .. a safe vehicle .. world class services."
