Hamdan pays inspection visit to RTA
Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council, yesterday paid an inspection visit to the Roads and Transport Authority.

- Shaikh Hamdan was told of the challenges facing the RCA, and reviewed the blueprints for the Dubai Metro.
Dubai: Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council, yesterday paid an inspection visit to the Roads and Transport Authority.
Shaikh Hamdan was met by Mattar Al Tayer, Chairman of the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), who made a comprehensive presentation on the RTA's strategies, vital projects, plans for expansion and upgrading of roads, plans for transportation and infrastructure.
The challenges facing the RTA were also reviewed, which include the increase in traffic volume, inefficient safety levels, the lack of an active road and transport policy, as well as insufficient traffic monitoring and control.
Shaikh Hamdan also reviewed the blueprints and models of the Dubai Metro project. He was accompanied by Ahmad Bin Bayat, Secretary-General of the Dubai Executive Council.
