It took this reporter only 45 minutes to commute at 8am from the National Paints Roundabout towards Al Safa, driving through the Emirates Road and then taking the exit at Al Khail Road.
Most of the time wasted on the road was at the National Paints Bridge, as it took 20 minutes to merely cross over to the other side.
The Sharjah Ring Road linking to Al Mamzar at the Emirates Road was a breeze to pass through, and by 8:30 this reporter had already reached the Fruit and Vegetable Market.
