Dubai Metro: 729-metre tunnel for Green Line is completed

The tunnel boring machine (TBM) used on Dubai Metro's Green Line has broken through the wall completing a 729-metre long tunnel from the Union Square underground station to Salahuddin Road.

Dubai: The tunnel boring machine (TBM) used on Dubai Metro's Green Line has broken through the wall completing a 729-metre long tunnel from the Union Square underground station to Salahuddin Road.

Adnan Al Hammadi, Director of Construction, Rail Agency said: "The TBM has excavated the tunnel between Union Square and Salahuddin Road 60 days in advance and it is another milestone for us."
