Emirates has cancelled 21 flights so far our of Dubai on Monday.

Dubai: The closure of Dubai Airport affected a total of 71 flights.

A total of 36 outbound flights were cancelled, while 35 incoming flights were diverted to airports in Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Al Ain, and Ras Al Khaimah in the UAE, and to Muscat (Oman), Kuwait and Shiraz (Iran).

Huraiz Bin Huraiz, DCA spokesperson said: "We are operational at full capacity but passengers should check with their respective airlines to confirm the status of their flights.''

EK971 to Tehran, EK961 to Sana'a, EK045 to Frankfurt, EK911 to Damascas, EK205 to New York, EK049 to Munich, EK015 to London Gatwick, EK039 to Birmingham, EK055 to Dusseldorf, EK087 to Zurich, EK073 to Paris, EK719 to Nairobi, EK606 to Karachi, EK424 to Perth, EK647 to Muscat, EK932 to Alexandria, EK9876 to Shanghai, EK516 to Bangalore, EK9884 to Hong Kong

British Airways:
BA108 to London Heathrow will be departing from Abu Dhabi airport.

Other cancellations:
