Crackdown: Police arrest over 400 jaywalkers in Deira
Police caught more than 400 jaywalkers in Deira during a campaign to crack down on people crossing at undesignated areas.
Dubai: Police caught more than 400 jaywalkers in Deira during a campaign to crack down on people crossing at undesignated areas.
Lieutenant Colonel Saif Muhair Al Mazroui, Deputy Director of Dubai Police's Traffic Department, said the traffic department caught 428 jaywalkers crossing at undesignated areas in Deira as part of a campaign which started since the beginning of this month until November 21.
He said there were illegal residents, and those who did not carry identification papers and some people wanted for crimes among the jaywalkers.
