Car reverses into parking inspector in Sharjah

Sharjah: A parking inspector was injured when a car reversed into him in Sharjah Industrial Area on Thursday .

A Sharjah police official said the 26-year-old Emirati was on duty when the incident happened.

"The inspector was on foot when the driver suddenly backed up and ran into him," the official said.

Anjad and an ambulance attended the scene of the incident, which occurred at 9.30am, according to the official.

Arrested

The driver of the car was arrested by police and taken in for questioning.

Paramedics attended to the Sharjah Municipality inspector at the scene and took him to Al Qassimi hospital, where he was treated before being discharged.
