Car crash causes gridlock on Shaikh Zayed Road
By the time the two cars were removed at 12:30pm, the congestion had reached Jebel Ali
Dubai: A collision between two cars on Shaikh Zayed Road caused a gridlock all the way from the second interchange to Jebel Ali at noon.
One person sustained moderate injury in the accident that took place at 11:45am near the second interchange in the Abu Dhabi-Dubai direction, according to Dubai Police's Traffic Department.
By the time the two cars were removed at 12:30pm, the congestion had reached Jebel Ali.
According to police, the accident was caused by failure to leave a safe distance.
