Campaigns against quad bikes to be intensified
Al Rashidiya Police Station has been ordered to intensify campaigns against quad bikes to check offences. Brigadier Dr Jamal Al Merri, Deputy Commandant General of Dubai Police, said the law prohibits the use of quad bikes on roads and allows police to confiscate them.

He pointed out to the importance of respecting the nature of Al Rashidiya residential area and organising year-long campaigns to crack down on violators who create a nuisance for residents and cause accidents.
The police station reported 547 crimes last year compared to 476 in 2005, while 211 thefts were reported in 2006 compared to 127 in 2005. According to Al Rashidiya Police Station statistics, CID arrested 381 law offenders in the area compared to 817 in 2005.
