Authority launches 17 feeder bus routes ahead of Metro line opening

At least 17 new feeder bus routes will serve some of the Metro stations to be opened on September 9, said a senior official. The service will start today and will serve ten Metro stations, including Al Rashidiya, Financial Centre, Mall of the Emirates and Nakheel Harbour and Towers and Dubai Marina.

Dubai: At least 17 new feeder bus routes will serve some of the Metro stations to be opened on September 9, said a senior official. The service will start today and will serve ten Metro stations, including Al Rashidiya, Financial Centre, Mall of the Emirates and Nakheel Harbour and Towers and Dubai Marina.

Eisa Abdul Rahman Al Dossari, Chief Executive Officer of the Public Transport Agency of the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) said that the buses would serve the communities around these stations to make it easy for commuters to use the Metro.

Route F1 will link Nad Al Hammar with Al Rashidiya Station. Six buses have been deployed on this route to provide shuttle services from Saturday to Thursday, and the number of buses will be four on Fridays and holidays.

Feeder Bus F2 will serve passengers from Al Rashidiya Metro Station to Al Rashidiya community. Three buses have been deployed on this route from Saturday to Thursday, and the number of buses will be two on Fridays and holidays.

Bus Route number F3 will operate between Al Rashidiya Station and West Mirdif.

Feeder bus number F4 will run from Al Rashidiya Station to East Mirdif. Six buses have been deployed on this route from Saturday to Thursday, and the number of buses will be reduced to three during Fridays and holidays.

Bus number F5 will operate from Al Rashidiya Station serving passengers from Mizhar.

Bus number F10 will serve passengers between Al Rashidiya Station and Al Warqa. Bus number F13 will carry passengers from the Financial Centre station to Dubai Mall.

Bus number F29 will serve passengers from the Mall of the Emirates Station to Al Barsha 2. Six buses have been deployed on this route from Saturday to Thursday, and the number of buses will be five during Fridays and holidays.

Bus number F30 will serve passengers from Mall of the Emirates Station to Arabian Ranches.

Bus number F31 will carry passengers from Mall of the Emirates Station to Meadows. Route F33 will link Mall of the Emirates Station to Al Barsha 3.

Route F37 will link the Nakheel Harbour and Tower Station to Dubai Marina.

Route F6 will serve passengers from the Dubai Airport Terminal 3 Station to Al Twar 3.

Bus number F7 will link the Terminal 3 station with Al Garhoud.

The feeder bus F8 will serve the Terminal 3 Station to Al Ghusais 1.

Route F9 will link Terminal 3 Station to Festival City.

Feeder bus F11 will serve passengers from Satwa Bus Station to reach the Metro stations at the Trade Centre, Emirates Towers and the Financial Centre.

Bus number F48 connects Ibn Battuta Station with Dubai Investment Park.

which would be the convenient route for people staying in sharjah,if they want to use the metro? taking the bus from sharjah to baniyas square and then the metro frm there?

I feel there is a need for feeder buses serving students of DUBAI INTERNATIONAL ACADEMIC CITY to different metro stations.

I want to know when JEBEL ALI FREE ZONE metro station will be in operation? And will there be feeder buses running inside the Free Zone?

What about the Feeder bus for Jebel ALi Free zone Passengers from IBN batuta / Nakheel Harbour and Tower Station. The Main Traffic JAM is due to the Jebel ALi Traffic.

Good to hear that feeder bus will be serving all pasangers traveling in metro, but why the INTERNATIONAL CITY has left alone, it looks like the International City people are not complying to travel? No any feeder bus provided to the area, even they can do and can be conected to Rashidiya, But so sad.
