12 hurt after bus climbs Dubai pavement
Twelve people sustained injuries when the bus carrying them climbed onto the pavement (sidewalk) and hit the fence of the Dubai Police Academy on Sunday evening, police said.
Dubai: Twelve people sustained injuries when the bus carrying them climbed onto the pavement (sidewalk) and hit the fence of the Dubai Police Academy on Sunday evening, police said.
Police said 11 passengers sustained moderate injuries and one person was seriously injured and taken to hospital.
Police said the bus climbed two pavements before hitting the fence of Dubai Police Academy.
The Pakistani driver of the bus, which was carrying 27 passengers, told police that the bus brakes failed. Police launched an investigation.
According to latest statistics, 223 people were killed and 2,478 people were injured in road accidents from the beginning of this year until October 20.
