This is a good move by authorities. There should be ban on shesha smoking on balconies also. There have been many incidents of fire because of this practies and yet still people are doing this. In the worst case, there will be loss of lives and money. A kind request to authorities to take strict action against this.

Where are we supposed to dry the laundry? In my building few residents have already put the laundry in the corridor due to which there is too much smell, especially during this summer humidity. Isnt this unhygienic? The authorities should think about some solution before coming out with such voilation fines. Everybody wants to stay in proper hygienic place but if such things occur there is a reason for that.

What do you mean where should you dry your clothes? You can dry it in your home on the clothes hangers. I commend the authorities for taking this initiative and I hope it's done for all the emirates. It is very unattractive to see clothes hanging on a balcony/windows, etc.

I stay near abu shagara behind park and every morning i go for at least 1 hr walk. when i cross one particular place where huge dustbins are kept, sometimes I feel like puking because of the strong smell. people come to the park to excerise and play and to breath fresh air and just oppisite the dustbin all school buses pass that way. We even cannot stand for 3 mints because of the stinking, strong smell with school going children. kindly change the dustbin's place. Also, abu shagara area street light some place not in working condition.

I live in Muweilah (National paints) and I planned to install a curtain on my balcony to prevent unhealthy issues. Will this curtain be considered a violation?

I would like to request Sharjah Government and Municipality to please concentrate for cleanliness of areas and to make proper road and remove dust specially in National paint where the apartments are fully occupied. The rubbish bins are not sufficient and get emptied within a time also the people throw rubbish on the ground and due to this many many bees and other insects have made life miserable but I agree for the laundries we can use cloth stand in the balcony to dry thing this will help to safe and healthy environment and beautification.

Balcony laundry is a problem? Can't they concentrate on doing something to at least to control the dust pollution in many areas especially national paint area due to unpaved roads? Did they notice the buildings coming up in school areas of national paints? At least school areas should have good family buildings and paved roads so that our children can avoid strenuous bus travel.
