Series of activities lined up for Eid and National day holidays in Dubai parks

Children's camp, games, dolphin shows, cable cars, boats and recreational rowing are planned for this holiday season

Dubai: A series of activities has been planned by the Public Parks and Horticulture Department of Dubai Municipality from Friday until December 6.

The programmes include a people's march on December 2 at Mamzar Park, which will also host various entertainment programmes for families as well as shopping kiosks selling different items.

Zabeel Park will host the popular band Al Youla, the school children's march on December 2, acrobatic performances, games, shopping kiosks, balloon selling and other family entertainment.

Creek Park will host shows organised by the Ministry of Culture and Youth, including an orchestra, a Syrian folklore band, the Andalusian Ornina troupe and the National Day Carnival.

There will be a children's camp, games, dolphin shows, cable cars, boats and recreational rowing.

The Children's City at Creek Park will host a variety of entertainment programmes during the holidays, including a circus show and the Egyptian show "Skirt and the Horse." The programmes will he held on December 2 from 10am to 12pm, and 4pm until 8pm.

At the Jumeirah Beach Park there will be free painting for children from December 2-3 and other family entertainment in addition to selling balloons and shopping kiosks.

Al Youla will be playing at the Mushrif Park on December 2, and other family entertainment in addition to selling balloons and shopping kiosks will be provided.

Events at Safa Park on December 2 include Al Youla, and the Egyptian show "Skirt and the Horse," family entertainment programmes and shopping kiosks.

The Architectural Heritage Department has also organised various programmes to mark the occasion at the Bastakiya area on December 2-3 from 9.30am to 2.30pm, which include a symposium on the local cultural heritage to be addressed by Bilal Al Budoor, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture and Youth, and Abdul Aziz Muslim, Director of Heritage, Cultural Affairs in the Culture and Information Department in Sharjah, Ali Al Matroushi, Director of the Museum and Heritage in the Department of Culture and Information in Ajman, and Engineer Rashad Bukhash, Director of Architectural Heritage Department at Dubai Municipality.
