Dubai: Dave Heeley has started the first of his seven marathons, in the Falkland Islands.
The visually-impaired runner will be in Dubai on April 11, for the fifth leg of his challenge to run seven marathons in seven days on seven continents.
Dubai residents can watch Heeley run his fifth marathon at Gate 4, Safa Park on Friday. He is due to start running at around 8am.
Supporters took part in a run last Friday around Safa Park, which aimed to match the number of steps taken by Heeley on his series of marathons.
