Family outing in Al Ain parks to become cheaper

"The measure has been taken to persuade Emiratis and expatriate residents to experience the benefit of lush green parks in different areas of city," said an official of Al Ain Municipality.
Al Ain, which is known as the Oasis city, has around 70 parks and gardens that are the attractive centres for picnics and outdoor parties for Emiratis, expatriates, and tourists from the neighbouring GCC countries. Many of the gardens are free for the public access, while some of them have the nominal entry fee of just Dh1.
The municipality, with the help of Abu Dhabi Tourism Development Authority, has aggressively been working parks development as the city has fast been emerging on the GCC tourist map. Al Ain, however, has not yet established a dedicated aqua park for which residents travel to other cities.
Water theme park
"Al Ain is a desert city and has no beach or water games park," said Shabbir Ahmad, a resident, asking authorities to consider developing such a facility in the city. He said a water theme park would enhance the attraction of the city besides offering the much loved activity to the children.
Basit Khan, another Al Ain resident, said regular visit to parks and garden is also a healthy lifestyle that save people from the boredom of the routine home, office, and school works. Most of the parks and gardens have play areas that offer children with physical activities.
