Khalifa orders Dh200m fund for housing projects in Fujairah
President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan has ordered the allocation of Dh200 million to renovate 77 low-cost houses and rebuild 137 others in Fujairah.

- Shaikh Khalifa accompanied by Shaikh Mohammad and His Shaikh Hamad on Monday visited Fujairah.
Fujairah: President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan has ordered the allocation of Dh200 million to renovate 77 low-cost houses and rebuild 137 others in Fujairah.
Shaikh Khalifa issued the order while inspecting Fujairah, where he was accompanied by His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Shaikh Hamad Bin Mohammad Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah.
They visited Fujairah Hospital project which is expected to be completed in March 2007.
Naval base
The leaders visited the Fujairah Naval Base, where they inspected vessels used by naval forces before heading to the Al Luluiah Healthcare Centre in Khor Fakkan.
They also inspected the construction of 31 low-cost houses in the Al Ruhaib area, which is being carried out by the Ministry of Public Works. They inspected the new Civil Defence Centre in Dhadna, which will be handed over to the Interior Ministry shortly.

They visited Al Owais Dam, which has a capacity of 3.5 million cubic metres of rainwater. Shaikh Khalifa asked officials to look at the possibility of increasing the dam's capacity.
Later, Shaikh Mohammad held a lunch banquet at his farm in Fujairah in honour of Shaikh Khalifa, Shaikh Hamad and their delegations.
Shaikh Mohammad expressed his pride at the visit, which reflects Shaikh Khalifa's great attention towards his people and his keen interest to provide them a decent life.
He also said the UAE's wise leadership will spare no effort or money to raise the nation's status and preserve its dignity as well as to provide the emirates with high standards of living.
They listened to a presentation by Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Public Works, on projects undertaken by his ministry in different parts of the UAE.
