Abu Dhabi:P The Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition will be a bigger event this year after the registration of falconry in Unesco's world heritage list.
The exhibition is returning to the capital for its ninth session from September 14 to 17 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre.
The event is being held under the patronage of Shaikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in the Western Region and Chairman of the Emirates Falconer's Club.
The club has organised the exhibition with the support of the Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage (Adach).
Cultural heritage
"We look forward to welcoming all exhibitors and visitors and can promise more distinctive cultural heritage activities than ever before," Mohammad Khalaf Al Mazroui, adviser for Culture and Heritage in the Court of the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and director-general of Adach, said in a statement.
"We are continuously seeking to provide platforms that shine a light on the unique culture of this wonderful country. It is also the only exhibition of its kind dedicated to the heritage and traditions of the Gulf Arab region."
Over 100,000 visitors attended last year's event, which featured 589 exhibitors from 39 countries.
Many international organisations are taking part in this year's edition, including International Wildlife Consultants, the International Association for Falconry, and the International Council for Game and Wildlife Conservation.
