Live Dubai set for grand return

Dubai: Live Dubai, an original theatrical production celebrating the history and formation of the UAE, will make a grand return to the stage this December to mark the UAE's 37th National Day.
Following the smashing success of Live Dubai 2007, organisers Dubai Development Information (DDI) have once again enlisted the star production team.
The production will keep in line with the story and vision of the inaugural show, but will offer an entirely new sensory experience. A revamped cast, which will include a skilled Syrian dance troupe, will put on a more dialogue-heavy performance than last year's musical production. Last year, this event was supported by the biggest names and business houses of the UAE.
Live Dubai will run during the week of the UAE National Day Celebrations from December 1 to December 3, 2008, and will honour the unique history, culture, and spirit of the UAE as the nation celebrates the 37th anniversary of its formation.
The production will incorporate the powerful story-telling mediums of music, dance, and poetry to create an artistic splendour that will transport the audience back to the UAE's humble beginnings.
Live Dubai tells the story of dynamic leadership that has led to the astonishing growth of a nation which has developed into an international powerhouse.
In addition to the main performance last year, visitors also enjoyed ongoing entertainment during dinner, as well as at the exhibition area. The exhibition area was set up to signify the phenomenal progress the UAE had achieved in business and trade, with real estate development in particular, since its inception, both at local, as well as international levels.
