Leaders offer Eid prayers
President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Tuesday offered Eid Al Fitr prayers at the Shaikh Zayed Bin Sultan Mosque in Abu Dhabi.
Abu Dhabi: President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Tuesday offered Eid Al Fitr prayers at the Shaikh Zayed Bin Sultan Mosque in Abu Dhabi.
Offering the Eid prayers along with Shaikh Khalifa were General Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces; Shaikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Presidential Affairs; Lieutenant General Shaikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Interior; Shaikh Saif Bin Mohammad Al Nahyan; Shaikh Surour Bin Mohammad Al Nahyan; Shaikh Hazza Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Advisor; and other Shaikhs, dignitaries and senior officials.
The Eid sermon was delivered by Shaikh Ali Al Hashemi, Advisor at the Ministry of Presidential Affairs, who prayed for the soul of the late Shaikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
He also prayed to God to protect the UAE and its leaders.
Soon after the Eid prayers, Shaikh Khalifa visited the tomb of the late Shaikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan and recited verses from the Holy Quran and asked Almighty Allah to bestow his mercy upon the soul of Shaikh Zayed and place him in paradise.
Shaikh Khalifa later received well-wishers who had come to greet him on the occasion of Eid at Al Mushrif Palace. A number of Shaikhs, ministers and senior officials were also present.

In Dubai, His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, offered Eid Al Fitr prayers at the Grand Eid Musalla in Bur Dubai.
Praying along with Shaikh Mohammad were Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince; Shaikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Minister of Finance, and Shaikh Maktoum Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai.
Shaikh Ahmad Bin Mohammad Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Event Management Corporation, Shaikh Mohammad Bin Khalifa Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Land and Property Department, Shaikh Ahmad Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chairman and CEO of Emirates Group, Shaikh Majid Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, and other Shaikhs, senior officials and dignitaries also prayed along with Shaikh Mohammad.
After the Eid prayers, Shaikh Mohammad received at Za'abeel Palace well-wishers who came to greet him on the occasion of Eid Al Fitr.
The well-wishers included Shaikhs, ministers, senior police and military officers and dignitaries. In Sharjah, His Highness Dr Shaikh Sultan Bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, performed Eid Al Fitr prayers at the Albadie Eid Musalla in Sharjah.
Shaikh Sultan Bin Mohammad Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, other Shaikhs, and senior officials performed the Eid prayers alongside Shaikh Sultan.
Following the prayers, Shaikh Sultan received well-wishers who came to greet him on the occasion of Eid.
In Fujairah, His Highness Shaikh Hamad Bin Mohammad Al Sharqi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Fujairah, offered Eid Al Fitr prayers along with a large congregation at the Grand Eid Musalla in Fujairah.
After the prayers, Shaikh Hamad received well-wishers who came to greet him on the occasion of Eid.
In Ajman, His Highness Shaikh Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ajman, offered Eid Al Fitr prayers at the Shaikh Rashid Al Nuaimi Mussalla in Ajman.
Shaikh Humaid later received well-wishers, including diplomats from Arab, Islamic and foreign countries, who called to greet him on the occasion.
In Ras Al Khaimah, Shaikh Saud Bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, offered Eid Al Fitr prayers at the grand Eid Musalla in Ras Al Khaimah.
Later, Shaikh Saud received, at the ruler's palace in Khazam, well-wishers who came to greet him on the occasion.
In Umm Al Quwain, Shaikh Saud Bin Rashid Al Mualla, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Umm Al Quwain, offered Eid Al Fitr prayers at the Eid Musalla.
Later, Shaikh Saud received well-wishers at his palace.
Greetings: khalifa receives Mohammad
President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan yesterday received His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, at Al Mushrif Palace in Abu Dhabi.
The two leaders exchanged Eid greetings in the presence of General Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces. Shaikh Mohammad was accompanied by Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince, who exchanged greetings with Shaikh Khalifa.
Shaikh Khalifa also exchanged Eid greetings with Shaikhs, ministers, senior officials, dignitaries, members of the diplomatic corps accredited to the UAE and a large number of citizens. Shaikh Mohammad later visited the tomb of the late Shaikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
