Hunting exhibition draws praise from visiting officials
General Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Sup-reme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and Lieutenant General Shaikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Interior, yesterday visited the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition.

- General Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, yesterday visited the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition 2006 at the Abu Dhabi International Exhibition Centre. He inspected the exhibition’s stalls which display the latest equipment for hunting and falconry.
Abu Dhabi: General Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Sup-reme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and Lieutenant General Shaikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Interior, yesterday visited the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition.
They were received at the venue by organisers, who briefed them on the overall performance of the exhibition. Shaikh Mohammad and Shaikh Saif also visited various stalls and inquired about hunting products on display.
Shaikh Mohammad interacted with visitors and participants and expressed his appreciation for the way the event was organised. He also individually met with some of the exhibitors displaying falcons and hunting guns.
Before witnessing a performance by a group of traditional Arab folklore dance, he received a special needs participant and exchanged views with him. The show yesterday continued attracting a large number of visitors for the third consecutive day.
Agreements
A number of agreements between participating exhibitors and local and foreign establishments were signed. A parade of horses in preparation for auctions starting today was also organised.
By Friday, when the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (Adihex) concludes, the Middle East would have found its three most beautiful Arabian salukis.
The organisers of the event are holding daily Arabian Saluki Beauty Contest. Gilberto Grandi from Italy, President of the Italian Sight Hound Club, is the leading judge of the pageant.
