Abu Dhabi: A book titled Zayed: From Challenge to Federation has been released by the Abu Dhabi Centre for Documentation and Research.

President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan was presented on Tuesday with a copy of the book by Shaikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Presidential Affairs and chairman of the centre.

Shaikh Khalifa expressed his pride at receiving the book, which documents the glorious stage of the UAE's history and the rich legacy of the late Shaikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan.

Modern country

The book, published by the centre, highlights Shaikh Zayed's outstanding efforts in the building of a modern country which now occupies a leading position on the world map.

"The book will always be a reference to learn lessons that help us carry on with the process of giving in the empowerment era that followed the foundation stage led by the late Shaikh Zayed," Shaikh Khalifa said.

The President lauded the role of the documentation centre, and reaffirmed his support for the centre to enable it to pursue its role in projecting the UAE's image.

Shaikh Mansour expressed his pride at presenting the book to the President and stressed that the centre would continue to enhance its role in the documentation of the UAE's rich history and heritage.
